We are a small family run business, a husband and wife team working in the foothills of the Sperrins in Northern Ireland, where we live with our two young sons and two dogs. Classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, recognised for it's outstanding views, glacial features, and wooded areas we are continually inspired by our surroundings. Starkly juxtaposed with the surprises and challenges of raising two boys, our experiences definitely have had an influence on some of our quirkier product ranges!

A bit about the team behind the scenes:

Martin, formerly an architectural technician and safety consultant, like many others, found himself out of work during the construction recession. Always having a passion for music and began to learn the uileann pipes, a hobby which blossomed into a highly respected career spanning over 16 years. His work has drawn the attention of musical legends like Paddy Keenan, Liam Ó Maonlaí, and Finbar Furey, icons he listen to in his youth and now seek his advice. This type of work is very labour intensive, so he has taken a step back, he now builds pipes at his own pace, listing them for sale when ready, rather than taking advance orders, leaving time to build their new family business Twenty One Twenty Nine. 

Leona, from as far back as she can remember was coming armed with a tub of glue and plan in her head to create. The love for designing and creating never really left her, but she had stopped making and creating for fun when adult life took over. After graduating in Visual Communication, Leona spent 4 years working in the print industry designing for screen print, followed by 10 years in commercial and interior graphic design. After designing all day, art just didn't appeal as a hobby anymore. A combination of events led her back to creating art again, so in 2017 she made the leap to self employment. Leona delivers crafting workshops for positive mental health and manages a craft collective as well as helping Martin to develop Twenty One Twenty Nine.
